The Mishimoto MMRAD-F2D-95 replaces the factory-style radiator with an all-aluminum unit for the compatible later 1995–1997 7.3L Powerstroke cooling layout. It is a cooling and durability upgrade for daily drivers, tow rigs and modified trucks that put sustained heat into the coolant.
Why upgrade during a radiator replacement?
- Welded aluminum end tanks: replace the plastic-tank construction described for the original unit, addressing an aging tank's potential to crack or leak.
- Two-row, 2.28-inch-thick brazed core: increases coolant capacity and heat dissipation as specified for this radiator.
- Factory mounting arrangement: designed to use the stock mounting points and fan shroud on the correct application.
- Magnetic drain plug: captures ferrous debris at the plug and provides a convenient drain point.
A radiator supports the engine by shedding heat; it does not add horsepower on its own. If the truck overheats, check fan operation, coolant flow and the underlying cause along with the radiator. Early-1995 radiator-fill trucks use a different version, explained below.
Check the cooling-system style before ordering
Mishimoto MMRAD-F2D-95 for the later 1995–1997 F-250/F-350 7.3L Powerstroke cooling system. Early-1995 trucks can use a different radiator; model year alone is not enough.
- Early 1995 / top-fill radiator? Compare the 1994–1995 early-style radiator before ordering. The production change is around January 31, 1995.
- Check: build date, radiator fill arrangement, hose connections and mounting points against the original radiator.
- Construction: all aluminum, two-row 2.28-inch core, TIG-welded end tanks and magnetic drain plug.
- Dimensions: overall 29.9 × 29.9 × 4.5 inches; core 29.87 × 23.54 inches; inlet and outlet 1.77 inches.
Questions before you order
My truck is a 1995. Which radiator do I need?
Check both the build date and the installed cooling-system style. Early radiator-fill and later degas-style systems use different radiators. For a truck built around the changeover date, or one with swapped parts, send photos and your build date before choosing.
What should I do before installing it?
Compare the replacement’s fill arrangement, hose outlets, mounts and fan-shroud attachment with your original. If they differ, stop and contact us with the order number and photos before modifying or installing the radiator.
What warranty is listed?
This radiator is listed with Mishimoto’s lifetime warranty, subject to the manufacturer’s terms. Keep proof of purchase and contact us for help with a product concern.
