Upgrade the foundation of your classic Ford diesel with the Gator Fasteners HD220 Heavy Duty Main Stud Kit, engineered exclusively for 1983–1994 Ford 6.9L and 7.3L IDI Diesel engines. Manufactured from Gator’s proprietary HD220 alloy, these main studs deliver industry-leading tensile strength of over 220,000+ PSI—far surpassing OEM and aftermarket alternatives—to provide superior clamping force and bottom-end security for both stock and performance builds.
This is currently the only main stud kit designed specifically for the Ford IDI platform. Each kit is compatible with or without a girdle kit, making it ideal for custom engine builds. If you are installing the kit without a girdle, the oil pickup support bracket must be drilled to accommodate the larger main stud diameter. The corrosion-resistant black oxide finish ensures long-lasting protection, even in harsh diesel environments.
Highly recommended for IDIs running 150cc of fueling or more!
Vehicle Compatibility: Fits 1983–1994 Ford F-Series trucks and E-Series vans equipped with 6.9L or 7.3L IDI V8 diesel engines.
