One of the best upgrades for a 7.3 IDI when pushing higher than stock boost levels, or when rebuilding your engine. This kit is a genuine, American made ARP head stud kit, and requires no modifications or grinding for rocker clearance for installation unlike cheaply bulk purchased, weaker ARP 8740 grade studs sold by our competitors, this is an actual ARP kit using ARP 2000 (aka ARP 425) grade material rated for 220,000 psi. Comes with detailed installation instructions, ARP high torque lubricant, studs, washers and nuts.

"ARP2000®: ARP2000 is an alloy steel that can be safely heat treated to a higher level, producing a greater strength material than 8740. While 8740 and ARP2000 share similar characteristics – ARP2000 is capable of achieving a clamp load up to 220,000 psi. ARP2000 is used widely in short track and drag racing as an up-grade from 8740 chrome moly in both steel and aluminum rods. Stress corrosion and hydrogen embrittlement are typically not a problem, providing care is taken during installation."
