The J&K long block provides a replacement engine assembly with the upgraded, balanced 2020+ steel-piston rotating assembly. For an older aluminum-piston engine, this is an opportunity to move to the newer internal design during an engine replacement. For a performance build, it provides a foundation to match with the right turbo, fuel system and calibration.
The build uses a new genuine Ford crankshaft, pistons, rings, pins and clips, with rod and main bearings. The steel-piston design is intended to handle demanding heat and combustion loads. The benefit is the engine's construction and durability; final horsepower comes from the complete air, fuel and tuning combination.
What the stage upgrades add
- Standard: the listed steel-piston long-block foundation for an engine replacement or planned build. Confirm the configuration for your truck and intended use.
- Stage 1: adds ARP head studs to the listed steel-piston/balanced-crank build, increasing head-clamping capability for demanding use.
- Stage 2: adds billet pushrods and the J&K billet flexplate. These strengthen the specified valvetrain and engine-to-transmission components for a more developed combination.
- Stage 3: adds O-ring cylinder heads and high-rev valve springs for additional head-sealing support and valve control in an appropriately planned performance build.

Choose your J&K steel-piston long-block build
For the listed 2011–2026 6.7L Powerstroke applications. This long-block build uses the upgraded balanced 2020+ steel-piston rotating assembly. Choose Standard, Stage 1, Stage 2 or Stage 3 in the selector for the current price.
- Stage 1: ARP head studs, heavy-duty steel pistons and 2020+ balanced crankshaft.
- Stage 2: Stage 1 equipment plus billet pushrods and J&K billet black-oxide-coated flexplate.
- Stage 3: Stage 2 equipment plus O-ring cylinder heads and high-rev valve springs.
- Core choice: “Send In Core After” adds a $3,500 refundable core charge. “Send In Core First” requires the old engine first. Enter the truck VIN in the required field.
Questions before you order
Is this a complete drop-in engine with a turbo and fuel system?
This is a long block. The listed contents include the block and rotating assembly, assembled cylinder heads and gaskets, camshaft and bearings/gears, lifters, rocker assemblies, pushrods, piston cooling jets, valve cover, oil pan, front/rear covers, low-pressure oil pump and water pump. A turbocharger and complete high-pressure fuel system are not listed as included.
Will a newer engine configuration fit an older truck without extra parts?
Do not assume that from the year range alone. Tell us the recipient truck year, engine configuration and parts you plan to reuse so the required installation and conversion parts can be confirmed before ordering.
Which price should I use?
Use the selected live variant price and confirmed order total. Older fixed stage prices have been removed from the description so they do not conflict with the selector.
How should I plan delivery and the core return?
Choose core-after if you need to retain the old engine while waiting; core-first requires it to be sent in before the exchange can proceed. Confirm the current build/dispatch estimate, freight destination and unloading arrangements. Request the approved return address and core eligibility instructions before shipping.
When will my order ship?
